French coding has developed a chess game with the lowest amount that can be any computer program.
BootChess chess is that only 487 bytes, where its code is functional on computers with Windows operating system, Mac OS X, and Linux. This program created is smaller than 1K ZX Chess, a game of chess computer, which contains 672 bytes and thus maintain the record for 33 years.
Creator of the game, Oliver Poudade hopes that this accomplishment is to be inspiring for other programmers in order to concentrate even in 'the size of the code. Also, Poudade said there is optimism in programming just about speed, but also the size of the code that is of great importance, reports TECHGNS
To achieve his goal, Poudade, who is also member of the group encoding Red Sector Inc., was based on this 1982 game.
However, some critics have said that the game can not be called the "complete" since it does not contain a defense motion to ward where the king and the ball can switch positions at the same time.

However, Poudade stressed that the previous game that held the record, 1K ZX Chess, had the same limitation. Also, the game of chess created by programmer Poudade offers 'soldiers' return to 'queen' after passing the opponent's side, who did not feature in the game created by David Hron who held the record until now.
